Please read these terms carefully before using our website or services.
1. About DEAR Wellness Centre
DEAR Wellness Centre provides services designed to support emotional wellbeing, personal and family development, education and organisational wellness.
Services may include:
- Individual, teen, family and group counselling;
- Parent support;
- Christian counselling;
- Life coaching;
- Consulting;
- Workshops and professional development;
- Educational programmes and resources; and
- Organisational and community wellness initiatives.
The nature and scope of services will vary according to the needs of the individual, family, group or organisation.
2. Website Information
Information provided on this website is intended for general educational and informational purposes.
Articles, blogs, videos, downloadable resources, social-media content and other information provided by DEAR Wellness Centre should not be considered a diagnosis or a substitute for individualised professional assessment, medical treatment, psychiatric care or other specialised services where these are required.
Reading information on this website or contacting DEAR Wellness Centre does not automatically establish a professional counselling relationship.
3. Counselling Services
Counselling services are provided within the scope of the practitioner’s professional role, training and competence.
Before counselling begins, clients may be required to complete appropriate intake, consent and assessment documentation.
Counselling outcomes vary between individuals. While DEAR Wellness Centre is committed to providing appropriate professional support, specific outcomes or results cannot be guaranteed.
Where a person’s needs fall outside the scope of services offered, an appropriate referral may be recommended.
4. Life Coaching
Life coaching is generally goal-focused and future-oriented and is intended to support personal development, decision-making, accountability and progress towards identified goals.
Life coaching is not a substitute for psychotherapy, psychiatric treatment or other clinical mental-health services.
Where significant mental-health concerns emerge during coaching, the individual may be encouraged or required to seek an appropriate mental-health professional or other specialised service.
5. Christian Counselling
Where requested, counselling may incorporate a client’s Christian faith, values, prayer, scripture or spiritual reflection.
Faith integration is client-led and will not be imposed upon individuals who do not request it.
Christian counselling does not replace appropriate medical, psychological, psychiatric or emergency intervention where these services are required.
6. Appointments and Consultations
Appointments are subject to availability and are considered confirmed only after confirmation has been provided by DEAR Wellness Centre.
Submitting a website form, WhatsApp message, email or consultation request does not automatically confirm an appointment.
Clients are responsible for providing accurate contact information and attending scheduled appointments at the agreed time.
7. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Clients who are unable to attend an appointment should provide as much notice as reasonably possible.
DEAR Wellness Centre may establish specific cancellation, rescheduling, late-arrival and non-attendance policies for particular services.
Any applicable cancellation fee or notice requirement should be communicated before the service is confirmed.
For workshops, programmes or organisational services, separate cancellation terms may apply.
8. Fees and Payment
Fees for counselling, workshops, consulting and other services will be communicated before services are confirmed.
Where payment is required in advance, an appointment, programme or workshop may not be considered fully confirmed until the required payment has been received.
Fees may vary according to the type, duration, location and scope of the service.
Customised organisational programmes and consulting services may require a separate written quotation, proposal or agreement.
9. Workshops, Training and Consulting
Workshop, training and consulting services may be customised according to the needs of schools, workplaces, churches, NGOs, community organisations and other clients.
The objectives, deliverables, fees, timelines, responsibilities and cancellation arrangements for organisational engagements may be outlined in a separate proposal, quotation or service agreement.
Where a separate signed agreement exists, the terms of that agreement will apply to the specific engagement.
10. Confidentiality
DEAR Wellness Centre respects the privacy and confidentiality of clients.
However, confidentiality is not absolute. There may be circumstances in which information must be disclosed in accordance with applicable professional, ethical, safeguarding or legal responsibilities, including circumstances involving serious safety concerns or the welfare of a child or vulnerable person.
Counselling clients should receive additional information about confidentiality and its limitations as part of the informed-consent process.
Please review our Privacy Policy & Confidentiality page for additional information.
11. Children and Adolescents
Services involving children and adolescents may require appropriate parental or guardian consent depending on the nature of the service, the young person’s circumstances and applicable professional or legal requirements.
DEAR Wellness Centre seeks to respect the privacy and dignity of young people while maintaining appropriate safeguarding responsibilities.
12. Crisis and Emergency Situations
DEAR Wellness Centre’s website, email, contact forms and WhatsApp service are not emergency or crisis-response services and should not be relied upon for immediate assistance.
Messages may not be viewed or answered immediately.
If you or another person is in immediate danger, experiencing a medical or mental-health emergency, or requires urgent intervention, please contact the appropriate emergency, medical or crisis service in your location.
13. Electronic Communication
Email, WhatsApp, website forms and other electronic communication may be used for enquiries, scheduling and administrative communication.
Users are encouraged not to send highly sensitive or detailed clinical information through general electronic communication channels.
Although reasonable precautions are taken, DEAR Wellness Centre cannot guarantee the absolute security or confidentiality of information transmitted electronically.
14. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the written content, programme materials, workshop materials, worksheets, graphics, branding, educational resources and other original materials produced by DEAR Wellness Centre remain the intellectual property of DEAR Wellness Centre.
Materials may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, sold, published or used commercially without prior permission.
Materials provided during workshops or counselling are generally intended for the participant’s personal or authorised organisational use.
15. External Links and Resources
This website may contain links to third-party websites, organisations or resources for informational purposes.
DEAR Wellness Centre does not control these external websites and is not responsible for their content, availability, privacy practices or services.
The inclusion of an external resource does not necessarily constitute endorsement.
16. Respectful Use of Services
DEAR Wellness Centre is committed to maintaining a respectful and safe environment.
Clients, participants and website users are expected to communicate respectfully with practitioners, staff and other participants.
DEAR Wellness Centre reserves the right to discontinue or decline services where behaviour threatens safety, involves harassment or abuse, seriously disrupts services, or where continuing the professional relationship would be inappropriate.
Where clinically or professionally appropriate, efforts should be made to facilitate referral or continuity of care.
17. Limitation of Website Information
While reasonable efforts are made to ensure that website information is accurate and useful, information relating to mental health, family life, parenting and wellbeing continues to develop.
DEAR Wellness Centre does not guarantee that all website content will always be complete, current or applicable to every individual’s circumstances.
Professional advice should be sought where individual assessment is required.
